Kefir and Kefir Smoothie

To Make Kefir

Place approximately 2 tablespoons of Kefir grains in a bowl with 500ml milk.
Leave to sit at room temperature for 24 hours until a top has formed on the surface resembling something like cauliflower.  This may take a little longer in cold weather.
Using a spoon, remove grains from top and place in another 500ml bowl of milk in order to continue the process.  Make a drink with the remaining liquid.

Suggested Kefir Smoothie

In a blender or Nutribullet  place:
Kefir liquid
1 banana broken into pieces
1 teaspoon honey
Blend until smooth

We also like to add:
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 heaped teaspoon Barley Green Powder or Vital Greens
