Caramalised Bananas


4 Bananas cut diagonally into aprox 10cm sections

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons brandy (or any liqueur, even wine or sherry will do)

2 tablespoons brown sugar



Place butter, sugar and brandy into a medium frying pan on medium heat. When butter is melted add the bananas, sprinkle generously with cinnamon and cook gently for 3-4 minutes. Turn bananas and cook a little longer until they are cooked through but still slightly firm. Serve with sauce drizzled over and a scoop of ice cream or cream.

This dessert won’t win a beauty contest but it is delicious
